Trying to locate tack strip and seat wood for this model any ideas where to look the suppliers go from 1919 and skip to 1922. There is a universal tack strip made of composite that can be molded with heat gun but i can't find that either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Cubel's (fordwood.com) has the tackstrip.
Cubel's has it through 1920 and starts again for 1922 on, but no 21! HELP
I am building a 21 Touring and used the composite and it works great. I used a propane torch and molded it right in place.
I purchased the composite from Cubels.
Are you talking about the seat wood tack strips?
I got that from Cubels also.
If you mean the seat back wood, I wondered the same thing. From what I learned on the forum some body builders didnt use seat back wood.
Possibly some did.
Do a search on the forum for seat back wood for a 21 and there are some good picks about this subject.
The 1915-22 roadsters have the same wood construction. You have about five vendors making bodies for Ford with very minor changes in construction. Later in 1915 the roadsters and tourings went to a single tack strip around the body. 1913, 1914 and early 1915's have the double tack strip. Leon
