These in line gauges were seen on many different tire pumps offered in the day.
I wonder how long it took to get the tire pumped up to 60 or 70 psi by a hand pump? I use a compressor and it seems to take a while.
With a good tire pump, it probably takes about two minute to put 65psi into a 30X3.5 tire. It just feels like ten minutes.
I use a hand pump (tall standing bicycle pump) when my trailer is parked on the street. Usually, it takes less than a minute per tire to go from 45-50 to 60-65. I was surprised at the effort the first time I did it, but it's really not that bad.
I use a bike pump too. Quick, inexpensive, gage built in. Not a lot of effort. Modern hand pumps are a lot different than the old ones. A lot more efficient for some reason.
I want to thank Jay for sending me the air chuck I needed to complete my air pump repair. It was exactly what I needed and period correct. I have never met Jay before but because of the forum, I was able to contact him and he graciously sent me the part.
Thanks so much, Jay.
Nice legs for an old fart Neil
