Happy Australia Day to all of our Forum brethren Down Under....
Thanks Dick. Very nice of you to remember and comment.
Thanks for the note, Dick.
I was allowed an extra layer of Vegemite on my lunchtime sandwich today, in celebration.
Always had a great time hosted by great people when I was "Down Under".
Happy Australia Day! For those like me that might have wondered -- Australia Day is on January 26 and commemorates the establishment of the first English settlement at Port Jackson, now part of Sydney, in 1788. It is an opportunity for Australians to come together to celebrate their country and culture.
I looked for photo to post but the only good Model T Ford one I ran across had a note for use for private research/study unless permission was granted. I’ll have to write them a request so I can post it in the future. It is labeled a 1914 and based on the rear half of the windshield in the back is shorter than the one in front, I believe that is correct – it would be a 1914. Mostly covered with flags – but a T in the Australia Day parade in 1916 see: http://www.onkaparingacity.com/libraries/localstudies/view_photo_enlarged.asp?Re fID=21 and for words and details see: http://www.onkaparingacity.com/libraries/localstudies/view_details.asp?RefID=21

Thanks, we had the barbie going and a quiet day at home. A cold beer and some good friends arrived who we have not seen for years. Life just dose not get better.
