Great picture Jay - You can bet those stripes were NOT "stick-on" graphics from the parts store, huh?

The more ya' look, the more ya' see! I would think that with all those accessories, there would be a battery for those "new-fangled" 'lectric cowl lights, huh? Probably no 'lectric starter though, because no ring gear on the flywheel and no way to mount an electric starter (had there been one available) on that engine block! Is that about a 1912 do ya' think? Boy! Somebody sure made that car their new hobby,....installing all those accessories! Love that radiator shroud!

The car appears to be a 1914 touring including the fenders. Different or accessory hood and "V" style radiator with shell. Bulb horn probably removed and klazon type horn added on top of drivers door. Also accessory electric sidelights replaced the black & brass sidelights on dash. Still has original B&B gas headlights (Victor? or Brown)but prestolite tank instead of carbide tank on running board. Hubcaps seem to be larger flared type instead of original Ford. Accessory bumper added in front.

Harold
Actually there were various bolt on electric starters available for the pre '19 cars. The drove the front of the engine using various double and triple reduction systems. Jay probably has pictures of most of them.
No doubt this one doesn't have that as it has gas headlights.
Given it does NOT have the special Prestolite regulator as shown in another thread it probably doesn't have a Prestolite starter system either.

Now that being said I REALLY REALLY like the radiator!! Does any one have one??? I have a Livingston that is nickle plated (new). This one is way cool!!

I believe that the radiator, headlights and cowl lights are nickle plated. They look to "white" to me to be brass. I have original E&J's that have the remains of nickle plating on them. By 1910 nickle was widely available on "expensive cars"

That radiator and hood package sure do give the ol' Ford a different look!

The pin striping sure sets if off, too. The last time Ford did pin striping was on some, not all, of the 1913's.

Thanks for sharing, Jay.

As for the radiator--This radiator was a accessory made by the NATIONAL CAN CO.in DETROIT . [PAT july 20 1914].
These radiators were fitted to all the DELUX bodies used by the AUSTRALIAN N.S.W FORD distributors [DAVIES &FEHON].

Les,

You're probably right that the "brass" parts on the gas headlights are nickle plated. The radiator is very "bright" and reflective and the sheen on the lights is about the same. I've seen electric replacement lights that fit the gas light forks and they had nickle rims. Same nickle trim on the cowl lights.
