My old TT truck hasn`t been started for more then two years---today I aired up the tires, put in a few gallons of gas, set the spark down a few notches, choked it and it started right up! Hows that for no battery, no generator,no starter--just a good mag and NO HASSEL!!! Paul
I'm glad it worked out for you but the truth is you put it to bed correctly. No fuel in it to go bad. Smart move. "Ran good when parked"? Oil in it? Should go off the way it did when it stopped. Old fuel ruins tanks & carbs and no additives will stop it. You just have to let it sit long enough to do damage and it will.
Actually it's pretty typical for a Model T. My 27 had been sitting for 16 years when I bought it. The prior owner bought a new battery for it, put fresh gas in it and managed to get it to run. It wasn't by any stretch 'road worthy' but the little old engine ran like it had been driven the day before, these engines are amazing in their simplicity.
That's really good! I like it!

Seems to be some kind of a thread drift here.....
Is ana asking us to vacation in Aruba?
Can we take our model Ts
Oh no, the spurious spam messages have migrated from the classifieds into the forum!
Very glad to hear your truck fired right up, Paul. I am partial to TT's! They are amazing. Do you have a photo you can post?
Here tis:
Paul, I think that photo did not work
Whoops---Sorry--try again:
Yeah, that is my idea of a TT! (Ana is not) (I wonder if those spammers ever look back at places to see what kind of feedback they get?)
But Paul G, that garage is too empty! You need another model T in there.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
Paul, don't listen to Wayne. If you do, before you know it you'll need a bigger garage!
I really like your truck. As Wayne said, "That is my idea of a TT!".
I'm waiting for him to put that removable hardtop on his TT--This I gotta see!! Don
