when putting the socket back into the bucket which way does it go? The adjustment post is offset on the socket does the short end go into the bucket or long end?

Thanks,

Dave

You also might can tell by looking at the socket with the plug removed from the opposite headlight.

The long end sticks through the back of lamp body.

If you don't have the correct adjusting screws, they can be a problem too. The vendors don't sell the correct ones, which have a cotter pin hole drilled in them. I purchased a cotter pin hole driller from Langs which worked good for this, but they are made of soft steel, and by the time I was done drilling two of those screws, it was worn out! Oh well.
