On a slightly lighter note:

Is it normal, not having a T as yet, to be collecting parts?

To date I have bought a dust coat (duster), goggles, gauntlets, hat, a set of second hand rear hassler springs, that lovely wooden handled metal rod for opening the petcocks and , no wait, that is all.....so far!

Cheers,

Well afflicted Paul

Yes it's normal. Predestination.

Duster? Goggles? Gauntlets? Must be going to get a brass era. Maybe a speedster.
A couple of my Ts? I just started hauling miscellaneous parts home. Next thing I knew? There was a car sitting beside the garage.

This one is next on the list. I have more than 80% of the car, and most of it is appropriate for an early '15.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2

From the parts you have so far it sounds like you will be building an open 'soft top' car.

Aren't we all a little "soft in the top" being involved with Model T's......

That didn't happen to me until after I bought the first one. I'd meet someone who had some parts I needed, then figure what I was willing to pay for the parts I wanted. I'd then offer him that amount for his whole pile/collection of parts. I'd sort out and keep the T stuff and sell the rest at future swap meets. Many times I'd leave with a truck and trailer load of parts. Before you know it you've got enough to build most of a car--or at least have some great trading material. The internet and Ebay ended a lot of that!

My first "T" part was a steering wheel that I bought.Cant remember what I gave for it.But I had it 2 weeks before I bought the TT chassis that is now my truck.
So yea,it is normal in my humble opionion. :-)

But we are all normal till we get to know each other!
