I have found this to be THE best Auto Swap meet in all of Northern California for Model T stuff. The only better meet would be The Horseless Carriage meet in Bakersfield in early spring.

It has gotten harder and harder to find Model T stuff at any local swap meets these days as most of you know. To give you and idea the giant "Reno" Auto Swap meet held in Sacramento twice a year has barely a thimble full of Model T stuff out of all the acres and acres of sellers.

If you have never been to the Auburn Swap meet you owe it to yourself to come check it out. It's a great place to sell your excess T stuff or find some Model T stuff you can't live without.
I will be wearing my MTFCA FORUM name badge again this year hoping to meet more forum members this year, see you there!

Here's links to last years threads about the show.

I have been through that many times before, Tim W.
The funny thing is, both meets have been the first weekend in June. Both meets have been the second weekend in June. And I know that at least once, both meets were on the same weekend in May (although nobody else seems to remember it, I do have an old calender of events packed away somewhere). Every time one club moves, the other one does too.
Although I have been in and around the Santa Clara Valley Model T Ford Club for over forty years now, I will say in Mother Lode's defense, that they are at the whims and discretion of the Fairgrounds and often don't really have a choice on the date.
It has always just been strange that the two dates are nearly always the same. In about 35 years, I think they were on different weekends maybe three times.
At this point, I don't know if I will make the Endurance Run or not. Family problems. Maybe I will get to see the swap meet for the third time in forty years.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2

I used to drive from LA to that meet for years. The last time I went, I don't think there were more than 6 Model T vendors. Most everything there was hot rod, and 55 Chevy stuff. Not worth the drive, and the cost of a motel for two nights. I really like the area though.

Years ago, my dad and I would go to the Harras swap meet in RENO. While Bill Harra was alive and supporting the swap meets....they were great, full of early parts. The last RENO swap meet we attended was approx. 15 yrs. ago.
It was just like Larry said..."Most everything there was hot rod, and 55 Chevy stuff".... have not been back since.

I go most every year but lately haven't found much. Its close by so I'll attend this year but if I had to drive much to get there, I'd pass.

Hey Les, I remember the Reno swap meet when it was held at the park. When moved to the parking lot in town, it really went down hill fast. Just a couple of T vendors. Haven't been there in years but have memories of the old times.

Richard, we need to hang on to those memories of the old times...it was great!

What a change compared to today.

The last Reno swap meet we went to was in a 76 motor home with friends. We arrived mid-day friday and walked thru the swap meet...seen nothing early, got back in the motor home and traded off driving all night and arrived the next morning to attend the Long Beach Model T swap meet. Had a great time there and laughed on how many miles we drove to attend a "Local" swap meet. We were a lot younger then.
