Does anyone but Cartouche make upholstery for a 1917 touring car? I need to replace the rear seat upholstry and Cartouch requires purchase of the entire car kit.

If you call macs, aka cartouche and ask them they will make only a piece, I have done it before

Larry

perhaps you'd like to elaborate? A specific unresolved issue? Businesses know that it's easier to keep a customer than to gain a new one, and even harder to repair a damaged reputation. It's difficult enough to make money selling T parts in the first place, and I'd be surprised if Cartouche would not make an effort to amend whatever issue arose with you. Here's your chance to clear the air on it.

In my case, which I will qualify, I've seen interiors in cars of friends of mine, who I consider more than capable of installing upholstery. They related to me that the instructions were lacking, the materials were incorrect, and the fit and finish of the final produce in their opinion (and in my observation) looked like scheit.

I used Cartouche and didn't have any issues.

My only complaint about Cartouche is that the instructions are a bit weak. I am satisfied with the product.

I'm with Bob on the Cartouche instructions, they were too general to be worth much. The upholstery itself looks good and I'm pleased with it.

The upholstery I used for my 24 Coupe was OK. The instructions were sort of general but could have been better. Other than that the material looks and fit well.
I dont guess you can please everybody. Its kind of like Hamburgers I guess. Some people like onions on theirs and others don't. Then there are the ones who like nothing but meat and a bun. I cant figure that one out.

I was think that Ford had different vendors for his bodies. Could that make a difference in the fit? Scott

I'm not complaining about Cartouche, they have made my life easy. I have a 50 Chevy pickup I have been waiting over 6 months for the upholsterer to finish. Cartouche parts have fit perfectly, yes there is work to do ,but you are way ahead of the game. I have been totally satisfied with their product. Cartouche sent me a complete tudor kit and it all fits perfectly, Maybe some folks couldn't be tickled with a feather up their A$$.

I have a good friend who bought a Car Touche kit. The seams on his top were sewn backwards, and the seat upholstery didn't fit properly either. Thats enough to keep me away, and the door panels didn't fit properly either.
