My grandson has finally grown tall enough to drive our T.
He drove around our yard for about half an hour today with me as passenger.
He caught on pretty quickly and had a very big grin on his face!
Cell phone pic isn't the best but you get the idea.
Grandsons make getting old fun
Very kool indeed!
Passing it on... Nothing better!
Good for him. Glad he is interested. I've taught several kids to drive the TT . None that young, but hey, if they can reach the pedals... My grandson still has a few years. He'll be one in August.
Bob, how awesome it will be for your grandson to be able to boast that he learned to drive in a Model T.
My granddaughter is 1-1/2 . I can hardly wait until she can reach the pedals.
When she's old enough, I plan to take her to get her drivers license in ol' Liz. I can just imagine the look on the DMV inspector's face when he/she realizes that they will be giving the driver's test in a then 110 year old Model T.
Thats great,I have grandsons as old as 24,but they have no interest in driving the T. I think it intimidates them because driving it is so different.
Oh, I thought this thread was about Universal T Drivers. I have one that's 13, and it's been a spare since almost new, as the tread wore out in 6,000 miles.
Don't have any grandkids...
Hey George/Eatonville...are you going to the Carbon Canyon T Club meeting a week from today?
I'll be there with my ol' rusty T.
And Ralph...I always try to post a good subject line, but I guess I blew it this time.
When my daughter was 16 for Xmas she said she wanted a watch...I guess I shoulda let her!
I knew what the subject line meant! But then, most of the tires on my Ts are twenty or more years old anyway.
I do wish I had grandkids. I had three kids, but I don't know if I will ever have grandkids.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
Bob Gruber,I have only been here a month and haven't even got my T here yet.Have been very busy here at "money pit ranch",but I'll try to make the meeting.Whats the requirements for attending/joining,I am a MTFCA member?
George...this is a pretty informal club.
There are no requirements..all you have to do is show up.
Here's the club's web address: http://www.carboncanyonmodelt.com/
The dues are 20 bucks if you want to join.
If you want to follow me to the meeting we can arrange a spot to meet (maybe Kapowsin store).
We'll have to go past John Aldrich's house so maybe we can get him in a caravan, too.
