Can anyone tell me how high above the splash apron lip the running boards usually set. I bought a pair of 1915 splash aprons at a flea market in Florida this winter and it seems that the lip that goes down to the bend that fits under the running boards is only about 1/2 as high as the thickness of the running boards. I have looked on line to find a good picture but everything is too hard to see. Thanks for any help.

Don, most of the originals I have seen are level with the raised edge of the running board. My repro 1912 ones are a little below.

Hope this helps.

Allan from down under.

Splash aprons go under the radiator. Splash shields go over the running boards.

Larry,
Are you tiring to confuse me? The part between the running board and the car body on the side of the car is the splash apron. The part under the radiator on front of the car is the radiator apron.

Jim
