Can or would someone post some pics of their top. especially the hold down [?] straps. Are there straps on the sides and the back of the seat? I am in the process of installing a CLASSTIQUE top where there hasn't been one to copy off of. Do the straps go on before or after the top material? Again, THANKS for any and all responses. I am referring to the pieces that keep tension on the assembly.

If you are talking about the interior tension straps they go on before the top material. The rear straps are approx 7" inboard from the edge of the metal iron. The top straps run parallel to the Rear straps just outside of the rear strap all the way to the front header bow.

Thanks,Mike. Another question. Do the straps attach to the tack rail? Also, are there straps on the sides as well? Thanks, Steve

I believe the '26 tension straps are similar to the '25. The originals were 4" wide, and were tacked in at a slight angle, which covers the seam in the back curtain. I couldn't find the 4" stuff, even though I do have a sample. I just don't know where to find it. I did however find plenty of 3 1/2", so I used it, and it came out fine. I hate to do things wrong, but sometimes I don't have a choice!

I must add, that the original straps were NOT a inside out top material. It was a woven fabric, with a slightly coarse weave. I have samples of the original stuff. I would like to see Elizabeth at Classtique, and Mac's become more involved in doing what is correct for our cars, instead of just doing what they wish. Elizabeth is far better at doing this than anyone. Several years ago, I had the binding reproduced as original. Classtique uses it, but Macs refuses to use it, which explains why I don't like their product, among other things. To me, getting it right is the proper way to go.
