After a year I think I finally got it right! What do you think of this location for the video camera?

Happy motoring, Warren

I thought my t was to slow. I thought my transmission was to noisy. I thought my engine was to noisy. I believe if you thought something was to noisy to drive (ready to break) you wouldn't be driving it. I feel so much better. when theres no other t's around, you can only hope that's what an 80 year old car sounds like. what a cool video. what do you think the top speed was and how many rpms? thanks!

Three problems:

1. The motometer looks like a WW2 gunsite (this may be a good thing though)

2. The mount has enough flex in it that when going over slight bumps the double yellow line looks like waves on the ocean.

3. You never photographed the mount itself !!!! Please share.

Overall it looks like the perfect location.

Very hypnotic watching the rad cap, look long enough and the wings are a-flappen!!

Would work well for a tour.

Mike, had my motor and transmission rebuilt last summer by one of the best Model T men ever. Not sure what you mean by "I believe if you thought something was to noisy to drive (ready to break) you wouldn't be driving it." My T runs great and sounds better, however the video camera was a cheep one and the auto you hear I believe is the coils, as I have it mounted just above the coil box.
Bud, I like the gun site look, as I also own a 1957 Buick Roadmaster. You are correct about the waves, I think that is do to the camera is solid mounted just below the windshield and picks up all the road vibration. I will take a photo of the mount and post tomorrow.
Kerry, I enjoy looking at the motometer also, in fact I was thinking about adding the song by Frank Sinatra "Come Fly With Me" to the video.
Frank, thank you for sharing your video.
Ron, thank you for your commends and thank you to all who help with comments.

Happy motoring, Warren

A least the moto meter is on correctly. Our local PBS station did a brief bit about the local Model A club and showed the presidents car with the moto meter on backwards.

Good video.

Steven

Yes, Mike T, that is what a model T sounds like.

Warren H,
Thank you for the ride!

Steven T,
I hate when Motometers are on backwards! Or even worse when they are assembled wrong with one of the plates on each side of the thermometer.

Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2

Thanks Steven & Wayne, I just love driving Sambuca and do it every chance I get. I even drove it to our club meeting last night and made a video. However as stated before my camera is low quality and the video of the ride home did not come out very well. I think this was do to it getting dark. But on the bright side my headlights worked great.

Happy motoring, Warren

I really do appreciate this forum. I think had there not been one I would have left the "t" party by now like so many other cars in the past. I will have to get a trailer to "branch" out! so happy about the sounds! wasn't trying to be negative warren. sometimes my 2 typing fingers doesn't convey what i'm trying to say!

Here's a video by Alex Kennedy with one and a half hour of T driving in California condensed to about three minutes - "T to Beaumont": http://vimeo.com/67522110

Mike, no offense was taken. I wasn't sure what you were saying. Thought that you might have believed I was asking about the engine noise. As stated earlier the video camera has very poor audio. Not sure what my top speed is, however I have been told that I was going forty five at times and that was not wide open or going down hill. I have no idea what the max rpms would be. Thank you for enjoying my "cool video."

Happy motoring, Warren

Thanks Alex & Roger, Great video! Loved everything about it. One suggestion, you MUST make a complete stop at all stop signs or CHiPs will be paying you a visit.

Happy motoring, Warren
