I'm thinking about buying an out of state car and need some reliable auto shippers. Anyone have any recommendations? The car is located in Iowa and I live in Michigan. I know I could drive myself, but I don't have the correct trailer for such a trip nor is it possible at this time so I need a reliable, affordable carrier. Any suggestions?
We have a frequent poster on the forum who identifies himself only as "Jim" who is in the transport business, according to his profile.
This link should take you to his profile. (If I'm lucky, anyway)

If the link fails, then maybe someone on the forum can point you to him.
Jim moved a 1927 Roadster for me earlier this year. He kept in close contact with me and delivered the car right on the day he said he would. It was a good, positive experience.
Jim answered all my questions and was very helpful. I would use him if I needed a car moved. Scott
Bill and Randy and Scott,
Thank you ...
Regarding transport - I recommend:
Go enclosed
Go direct
Pay no deposit
Deal directly with the driver
Use an owner operator
The pick up and drop off locations determine
the actual transport cost along with the time frame.
The longer you can wait to have your car hauled,
the less unloaded miles you will have to pay.
Right now I am in Arkansas on my way to drop
off in Las Vegas, NV.
I will be available next to haul from there.

Hi, That picture of the fat old guy is me with that 1909. I can say that Jim is the best and most qualified shipper around! He takes care of your car or whatever you are shipping as if it was his own, he is Great! Again thanks Jim for bringing my car from California here to Indiana. Steve
