Hi! Can I get a photo of how a battery bracket is mounted to the truck frame under the cab. I can make the brackets like the ones in the catalogs that hold up the battery but the angle iron that the brackets attach to get mounted to something? Also the battery hold down brackets that are in the catalogs just don't give me a clue as to how they would hold down a battery on the brackets. I'm talking about Items 5153 angle iron, 5154 bracket, 5156 battery hold down bracket.

Do you have the two brackets that mount the assembly to the frame? I don't see them in that PDF.

The diagrams requires a little focus since it mixes parts for both T's and TT's. You need two of the 5154, one of the 5153, and two of the 5152-B. You also need two pieces that are similar to the 5156 shown, but the drawing is not quite right. The upper part should be a little longer with a hole to bolt the 5152-B to it. Also, there should be a right and a left, which is not shown but is listed in the price list below the drawing (#5155). For a TT just ignore all the rest of that stuff, it's not for a TT.

I'll see if I can get a picture of mine to post for you.

Hap beat me to it. :-)

The photo posted by Dan Treace shows a battery box, which may be a good idea. However, I do not think TT's used one originally. The battery just sat on the straps. At least that's what I believe.

I have nothing to hang my battery with. A photo of how it is mounted would be great Henry. I have ttyoder dimensions and was planning on making them. There were many parts that didn't make since. Mainly the hold down part. I want my TT to look stock as possible. I remember seeing the battery was just hanging under the cab on another TT by straps. But how it was done is not clear to me as I didn't take any photos of it when I had the chance. At that time I was mainly concern about getting or making the flat bed for the TT. John said he has the parts so I sent him off an Email. Henry if you could still send me a photo of how yours is mounted that would be great. Thanks Larry Taylor

Well after looking at the links a second time. The light bulb came on over my head! I didn't catch it at first. The strange angled looking brackets (Fwr and Aft) get mounted on the step brackets. That's what the battery clamps mount to. That's what holds the battery in the battery carrier. :-) !!! Thanks Henry with the list of parts needed! And Hap for the Link that I never saw when I was searching. Now to see what John has and I'll get that Battery Mounted!!!! Larry Taylor :-)

You may wish to check with Mark Freimiller, in Iola, Kansas. He has acres of T parts, and may just have the part you need.
