I just got the mail and opened up a Chinese toy airplane mounted to a repop radiator cap that was listed as "previously used." $75 by the time I paid the shipping. I read the description a little better and it is "No refund or returns." The photos were fuzzy, looked like it might be a good collectible but it's brand new. Checked his others, he's making up all sorts of little airplanes (and other suff) on caps and selling them on ebay. I'll get my money back, I filed a complaint with ebay, this is just a head's up so you don't waste your time or buy one of them without knowing what you are getting.

Probably was this one that just sold on eBay
for those wanting a nice repop of a working Air Ford, Bob S. makes these and his daughter sells them on eBay too.
I see a lot of radiator caps/ornaments on eBad that are claimed as originals, but clearly are not. I have seen postWW2 trophy pieces, toys, tin soldiers, flag toppers, etc. There was recently a toy/model DC3 implied to be model T era. That one I looked at the listing because I was curious. 90% of what comes up on my usual search is so obvious that I don't bother looking at them.
I refuse to look at most of that fake (&@* enough to notice who is trying to sell it. But I have noticed several different seller names over the years. Maybe the same person after they get caught too often.
I have seen too many of the "AIR FORD" planes to think repros were not around. I actually would like one of those. I don't know what I would ever put it on, but I did see a few originals about 40 years ago.
drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
This is one I got from Bob S. at Hershey last fall I think it is one nice piece of artwork. All I got was the plane and the small base the rest is some of my handiwork. Jim
I filed a complaint with ebay and got a full refund. The sellers note: Can't understand, every thing exactly as represented.
My response to that is BULL!
Well, it's my own fault. I buy and sell stuff all the time and I should have looked at this closer. "Previously used" and the fuzzy pictures suckered me in.
Old and senile. Better start watching out for those Nigerian girls who are so attracted to my "Profile" on a Craigslist post about a tractor for sale that they want to send me naked pictures and their phone number. On the other hand.............
Careful Stan----------
Stan... They wanted to send you naked pictures of a tractor!
