I have a couple of ball caps that came with the car, not used, I can't use them but I can trade [1] for a new re-bbabitted cap. I don't like to alter the drive plate shaft or cut the tube ball end.
My car is not driven that much and I like to keep it original, these have I been told are for high output engines.

These needle roller units require a hardened and ground smooth sleeve to be installed on the output shaft. If installed onto the as found Ford shaft they will be unsatisfactory. Contact me off list and I might do a trade with you

Check the Aluminum one for flange to I.D. of bearing run out!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, the Aluminum ones that we took out at motor rebuild time, the Drive shaft ball had eaten up the Aluminum ball cap.

Thx for the headsup Herm. I suppose it would work alright if a Warford was behind it (if it is properly centred).

Yup, that should work.

The 3 bearings that were New were bought by the customers when they got there parts, a while before they brought the engines.

What happened to the ball cap is when they pressed in the bearing, one side seated, and the other side sheared off some Aluminum, and wedged its self under the bearing on the other side, and so the bearing was not parallel with the gasket area.

Herm.
