My wife and I have each received this one a couple of times. I don't open any email if I do not recognize the sender, I don't answer phone calls unless I recognize the caller, etc.

The one you posted is mysterious to me. Is all they want the satisfaction of sending you on a wild goose chase?

Henry, the "Print Shipment Label" is a link to something nasty. Perhaps a malicious website asking for you to provide details for identity theft, credit card fraud, etc.

Your policy of ignoring unknown emails and calls is wise.

Andrew.

Jim, Received the same scam-mail a few times. It can confuse some as the USPS and UPS work together on some things. Anyway, promptly deleted it.

My daughter has gotten (twice) a call from Brian at Microsoft saying her computer is giving off a signal that it shouldn't and he want to fix it.
Check this out https://www.google.com/#bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&fp=23cf473b3da08d1d&q=this+is+brian+fr om+microsoft%2Bscam

I have also gotten calls form an India type voice asking if I am at my computer that he would like to correct something that my computer is doing. Don't fall for these scams.

Nothing new. Those are all old scams that are probably making another cycle. They are intended to get you to load a Trojan or key logger.

How many times have you had to print a "shipping label" to receive a package?

Who, in their right mind, think Microsoft would call to fix your computer?

I get the Microsoft Authorized Repair (with the east Indian accent) on a regular basis.
Longest I’ve been able to keep them on the phone so far is about 15 minutes.
I just keep repeatedly asking them to explain everything and ask dumb questions
and saying I don’t understand, usually ending with “how can you fix it from there”.
Then I tell them I don’t have the internet, or my computer is a Mac’ or I don't have
a computer but my daughter has one at her house, or something just as annoying.
If I’m not in the mood that day I just ask them to please hold a moment and leave them hanging
- or I just hang up.
