For those that are considering the LEAF PEEPER TOUR this year I thought I would try to show a few pictures that I took Friday on Trail Ridge.
Well that did not work So I will try again. One picture shows the snow in the Never Summer Range which can be viewed from the top of Trail Ridge. The other picture shows a snow bank between the lodge and information station at the top. Note there is nothing behind the girl but snow and that will be gone by the end of September.
One more try and then I give up.
I should not do it but I have been working on the photos and want to try again.
That's funny. It was 104 here today.
Behind that snow bank is a cliff of maybe better than a thousand feet. There is a wide sheet of snow on the back side of this bank that goes straight down for hundreds of feet. If any one falls off the back side of the snow bank they would be a bundle of blood and guts at the bottom. The snow blows between the Lodge and the information station and just keeps stacking up. The old fall river road to this spot was still snowed under Friday. I also noticed that ice Berg Lake was still frozen tight, with absolutely no water showing.
