What does the Bosch magneto do better than the one Ford supplied? They sure make a lot strong claims in this ad. I have Bosch electrical equipment in my 1926 Hudson. It is not a magneto but does seem to work pretty well.

If I had one of those, I would adapt it to a Farmall tractor IH-4 magneto.
I have one of these with a Bosch DU-4 magneto. I'm pretty excited to get it on the car once the magneto is rebuilt and an impulse coupler is added.
I can attest to the "big, fat, arc-like spark" that issues from the Bosch MJB4A on my '20 racer.
Aside from knocking me on my can once, the spark definitely provides good clean fuel burn. Very impressive.
High Tension magneto removes the need for coils, more reliable and accurate spark.
Not easy to hand crank without an impulse, had to create a custom driving disk between DU4 and three gear drive on my Speedster.
