I wonder if #1 popped the tire when he bent the fender, or if the blown tire caused him to swerve and bend the fender? Unless he is still alive or someone who knows the story, we will never know.

Re; no. 1 pic. Rear fender is bent also. If he were still alive he would likely be well over 100 and memory of incident long gone.
