The motometer on one of our T's never worked from the day it came home so I pulled the sending unit out and found the glass thermometer had snapped. Does anyone know if they sell just a replacement sending unit for these?
I also had a dead Moto Meter and was unable to locate a new sending unit. You can get replacement glass and screws for the face but as near as I could find that's it for repair parts.

I believe Restoration Supply Co. sells all the parts, including new sending units.

I just tuned in. Was also going to suggest Restoration Supply. Phone them. They have always been very helpful when I have talked to them. Parts availability, especially, the thermometers, seems to come and go. They can probably tell what the current situation is . One tip. Model A Fords had an accessory Quail cap with a thermometer in it that is prone to breaking. They used to come in both small and large, I don't know if they still do or not. The last time I needed a thermometer for a large cap, I had to buy the replacement for the large Quail and VERY CAREFULLY cut the brass mounting piece (it is glued together) off of it to use the thermometer in a standard Boyce Motometer. I used a Dremel cut-off disc and slit (lengthwise) the threaded brass piece into thirds (being very careful to cut through the brass piece, but not into the glass). Also need to be careful of vibration breaking the glass thermometer. I don't think they will give you another replacement if you break it while tying to take it apart. Tricky, but it worked for me.
That was about ten years ago.
Good luck!

Clayton, I sent you a PM the other day, did you receive it? I accidently deleted your last email to me before I read it. Dave
I think the only replacement thermometer is for the larger size motometer. The motometer above looks like a reproduction so you may be better off just getting a new one.
