This past weekend, I installed a Ford Script Drum tail light on my coupe that I restored and had the rim nickel plated by Ken Kopsky. When the lights are on the lower portion lights up and when the brake is pressed, the upper portion lights up with STOP visible behind the red lens. I is really nice and according to the Ford Bulletins Essentials Book, correct for the '26-27 improved T's. Jim Patrick
Very Nice !
I think Hall is the name of the company that made them. They made them for Dodge, Hupmobile, and plain.
And the ones stamped "Ford" seem to be the hardest to find. DB apparently is the most common one.
Very nice Jim. To be more exact, they are a correct factory accessory for 26 - 27. They cost extra.
So Jerry, when you say "correct factory accessory", are you saying the car could roll out the factory like that if you wanted to pay extra or is this something the factory made for the dealer to install which I'm guessing is the case.

Oops. Sorry about the double post.
I think they were a Ford Accessory, available through the dealers, so if you purchased a '26-'27 Model T at an authorized Ford dealership, you could buy one from the dealer and have them install it for an extra cost. Jim Patrick
Ok. Thanks Jim.
Yup, like Jim said.
Fellows, if they are accessory items, does that mean the standard fare was the flat backed, riveted to the bracket, domed glass held in with a retaining ring, item the standard?
I have a 27 Tudor coming from Wisconsin, and have put aside a right hand tail light assembly so I can have dual tail lights and stop lights. Both units have the same set up as the earlier tail lights, but have the flat back to match the 26-7 bracket.
I intend to fit headlight sockets to them to take dual filament bulbs.
Allan from down under.
Allan, Yes.
