I love the photos of Nome. It must be an over cast day as there is almost no shadow. The shadows are directly below the horses so noon? It's bright enough to be any time from 7 am - 7 pm!

Boards make a nice clean surface... until you put horses on it!

Merchants misspelled even back then!

That '15 pic is a bit fuzzy, but the car appears to have E&J #6 cowl lamps and the larger headlights, both of which were used only very early in '15 model year production.

I believe the board roadway was necessary because of the permafrost.
