I installed my rear axle today and seen this part under the floor screwed to the wood cross member behind the fuel tank. I don't have a clue as to what is was for. Has anyone seen anything like this?

John
Is it on the passenger side, could it be something to do with an exhaust whistle lever? Just a thought.

Bob

I'm thinking that it is the remains of a brake light switch. It seems to be on the left side of the vehicle as I see what appears to be the battery cable bushing support bracket in the right upper corner of the first photo. The small wire hook would be attached to the brake pedal with another bit of wire or some such.

My two cents worth. Bill
