Truck places have real heavy gear oil too. And some bearing stores.

i contacted lucas oil and they told me i could run a mix of their gear oil cut 50/50 with their oil stabilizer. This brings down sulfur levels to manageable levels for use with brass thrust washers

It was decide about 12 years ago that if you use the wrong stuff, like GL5 instead of GL4, in T brass thrust diff. it will discolor the brass and in a few hundred years it may even show a little harm to the thrusts. That is not for sure though, it may not do any harm.
