Is Luke Dahlinger still a MTFCA member? I checked his profile and it no longer exists and his last posts were around February of this year. Did he get disenchanted with the forum and leave us? I used to enjoy his informative posts as he was an authority on everything about the history of Ford. Jim Patrick
I wonder about a bunch of people we don't hear from anymore. I also always enjoyed Luke D's postings.
I do hope he is doing well.
Speaking of how people are doing. Jim P, how are you doing from that wreck you had last year?
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2
Thank you for asking Wayne. You are referring to the broken right femur I incurred in a truck accident on Feb. 7, 2012. The day of the accident I went into surgery and had a long steel rod put into the femur and a bolt put into the hip ball shaft, so I was able to start physical therapy immediately. I was in the hospital for a week and went home where I was on bed rest for a month having nurses come to my house to administer the physical therapy until I was able to get a substantial amount of range, so I could start walking. After I could leave the bed, I had to use a cane for 9 months until November, after which I was able to walk without pain. In that time, my left leg had to do the work of both legs, which wore out my left knee, so, this coming Wednesday, July 10, I am scheduled to have my left knee operated on. Once I have recovered from that, I should be good to go. Jim Patrick
Jim,
We'll be thinking of you this week. Let us know how things go as your able to.

Jim;
Where are you having your knee done? I had mine done at Largo Knee Surgery last year, one at a time, 4 months apart.
Thanks everyone for your well wishes and prayers. Richard, I'll be having my surgery done at Lakeland Regional Medical Center by Dr. Douglas Shenkman. A very talented sports medicine Orthopedic surgeon from the Watson Clinic. He is the one who fixed my broken leg the day it happened. He also did both of my rotator cuffs, in 2004 and 2005, so I am very comfortable with him. Thanks again everyone. Hopefully it won't be long before I'm driving Miss Daisy again. Jim Patrick
So what did happen to Luke D.?
Someone should go back to one of his old posts and click on his name to send him a private email.
He had a website called Vintage Ford Facts at:
http://vintagefordfacts.blogspot.com/
He might answer there.
Herb
Herb -- I went to that website and didn't see any way to contact Luke through it, except using Facebook. Since I don't use FB, someone else will have to try that.
Then I tried the profile route, and his profile has been deleted.
I tried the FB link and got "Sorry, something went wrong". The last post on his own website was January 10.
I have his address Jim. He's in Lakeland, FL 33801. Pm me for the full address.
Looks like his last update on that web site was Jan 10, 2013.
I LOVE you guys for checking up on members that haven't been heard from for a while. I would like his address too as I am in Lakeland almost once a year. I like visiting with some of the old T buddies. When I can. I lived not far from Lakeland. I use to see Jess B. just east of there for several years.
Thanx
I believe his last post on the MTFCA forum was on February 26, 2013.
The last post by Luke I saw was in April this year:

My cousin lives in Lakeland. I'll contact her and her husband.
I was thinking that Luke got his feelings hurt and stomped his feet mad and quit the forum. Please correct me if Iam wrong.
Scott
I do recall that Luke complained about all of the OT posts on the Forum, that it was not like it used to be and was not too pleased with the Garrett Fuller fiasco last year, whereby Garrett was given too much benefit of the doubt and allowed to cause so much uproar on the Forum with his little tantrums that "everybody is mean to me and nobody likes me"...which DID get old real fast.
I got a few emails from folks on the forum regarding this thread, thought I'd stop by and clear things up.
My feelings were not hurt in any way. I did get tiresome of the OT threads, and a couple other things which I will not get into.
I dont have much time to sit in front of a computer anymore which is why I havent done much with my Vintage Ford Facts site or stay active in the forums.
Otherwise I am fine & enjoying life with my new ladyfriend. She too enjoys my old Fords and likes to help work on them. The next project is to get my '59 Panhead back together.
Thanks for the concern.
Sounds wonderful!
Drive carefully, and enjoy life! W2
Ohh i see... i lose lots of people to that lady friend thing. Once they get one of those you never see that person again.
"She too enjoys my old Fords and likes to help work on them."
You can't get any better than that! Congratulations, Luke -- good to hear from you again.
Luke "May The Force Be With You" I for one miss your input here, don't be a stranger!
BTW, sounds like you got a keeper there!
Luke, I am glad that you posted. I was beginning to think that maybe the grim reaper had called on you.
Good to read your post. Congratulations on your "new ladyfriend"
Norm
'preciate all the kind words. I will try to check in more often here.
I've learned more about T's from this forum than I have anywhere else!
Luke. Scroll down through the posts going back a couple of weeks. There have been a lot of posts recently on Henry and Edsel and their relationship as well as posts regarding Henry and his...quirks. It sure would be interesting to read your take on the subjects since you are one of our foremost and informed authorities on Ford history. Jim Patrick
