I am aware that the engine of a 27 should be Drake Green/ Moleskin color. Was this the block only?? or does that mean the oil pan & hogs head also?

Larry,
Here's the painting schedule per the factory:
Most folks use the ford green used on the Model A's it's close. Moleskin was a dark green/brown/olive color.
Hope this helps.

Here is the engine for my '26 coupe. Several years ago on the forum, the color scheme was listed for each component by one of the members. Whether it was historically correct or not, I'm not sure, but I liked it and painted my engine that way:
Block, Water outlet, carburetor, intake manifold, timer: Green (engine paint from Snyders)
Pan, hogshead, coil box, horn, intake air pre-heater, fan, fan pulley, generator, exhaust manifold. fuel shut off, manifold studs & clamps: Any High Heat resistant Gloss Black engine paint from auto parts store (Exhaust manifold painted with super high heat manifold paint from Eastman. Cured out in an oven as per the instructions, it will withstand 1,500 degrees F)
Red carriage head bolts were being primed when these photos were taken. The bolt heads have since been painted black. Jim Patrick
PS Starter: Gloss Black
Thanks for everyone's help..Larry
