Dave Wells - Good suggestion. It will do this.
Seth - almost right, but not the cushion (there's a good John Regan tool for that), it adjusts the lower contact tension: -
Made from stainless steel about 1/16" thick 'cold formed'. It's sized for the thickest lower contact point I have, but works on the modern thinner ones too. Better than levering with a screwdriver or hitting it with a hammer!
