Hello all, and nice to see you again :-)

A cold old winter in New Zealand at the moment, just the thing for checking what's in the shed.

A friend found this after market generator in the rafters. After dusting it off we wonder what bits are missing.

Can you help identify this and or do you have any pictures/ links to advertising etc showing:
1) how it was mounted (we think a steel band holding it to a bracket)
2) who made it (only markings are casting of "N1" and "N2" on castings)
3) what other bits go with it

Many thanks

Adrian Whiteman

Can't help you but I wonder if the bar between the two posts is a shunt bar to control current. Interesting piece.

IF I run across this 1911 catalog again, I'll scan a better pic of the dynamo, which was the name for a generator.
