This is a smaller unit then you normally see. I believe it was made for ford cars rather then trucks. Can someone explain the difference between this small unit in comparison to the larger Warford iron and aluminum units as well as the differences in gear ratio??

They made a 2 speed and a 3 speed the smaller one that I have is a 2 speed with under and direct drive.

Seems all those cases and gears back then were over engineered for 20hp. Today, they cram six speeds into the same space that handles over 400hp. :-)

They were all made for truck, but were also installed in cars.
The two speed pictured could be installed so it had a direct drive and underdrive just like a Ruckstell, or it could be installed as an overdrive and direct drive.
The two speed Warford is quite rare.

Thanks for the info Aaron. So does anyone have any experience to share running one of these two speed units?? Also does this two speed pre-date the larger six speed units?
