I know this needs to be on the AD page, but I thought I would see if anyone here was interested in it. I have a Air Compressor made by a General Supply Co. It is a Jeep engine that 2 outside clys run and 2 inside clys pump air. Not homemade. Does anyone here have any interest in it? I am going to get it out and get running and offer it here first. PM me if you are. It could be used to work on your T Thanks, Dan.
My next door neighbor had one of those years ago. I've also seen the same conversion done to Model A engines. It's a pleasure to hear them run and they pump air like nobody's business.
Yours will probably be out of my reach financially and geographically but good luck with it. If you get it running and listen to it load and unload a few times I'll bet there's a good chance you'll decide to keep it. Bob
Bob: I have run it and no I will not keep it. I am compressor poor right now. I am in zip 35173, B'ham Alabama. Thanks, Dan.
Got an idea what you're gonna ask for it? Bob
I picked up an older Sullair 160-GU about six years ago at a good price. It needed a few adjustments and minor maintenance but has run great since. It uses a GM 4-cyl of mid 70s vintage to drive a twin screw compressor. Lots of air available. Great for blasting. All I had to do was go to Northeast Virginia to pick it up.
