Could be used on any car.

My dad still uses a 60 year old can of DuPont Dulux black enamel. Great stuff when used with a china brush.

Surely the can is worth more than the paint -even when the paint was new !!

Looks like a wartime can but could be anywhere from the late 20s to the 40s. My early DuPont books are stored and I can't get to them right now. The VB-40 code was used starting in the 20s though.

Real cool! I remember my dad mentioning that stuff. I believe it was used for renewing chassis parts when service work was done. You should open it up, and give us a demonstration. I suspect it was probably a satin finish.

So what will you do ? Keep it unopened and sealed with original paint in or use the original paint for a perfect restoration ?

It's only original once. :-)

I would use it to paint something I didn't care much about. It is probably perfect for painting an old trailer, or the outhouse behind your lake house.
