1911 Torpedo including Saxon Horn. What is the Touring behind it?
The lack of a front license plate indicates that the photo was taken in 1911, as Minnesota only issued single plates for 1911, not pairs.
The car behind it is a Rambler.
Here's a close up of the Torpedo.
The building is City Hall today.
Curious as to why the cars in the showroom were covered.
They must be Chevys.
I see to the left of the building they took down the Black Smiths Shop sign and tossed it there. Put up the new Garage sign in it's place. Oh the good old days before Horseless Carriages.
If you look at the condition of building, the sidewalk, the discarded sign, the covered cars and most importantly, the reason for taking the picture, I'd have to say the whole operation is brand new and about to open for business.
Is that Hizzoner Hisself looking out of the City Hall window?
