I will be making a roadtrip very soon (Not in a T). I will start from Panama City Florida, to Chatanooga, TN and then to Golden, CO but I have a wide latitude for detours.
Here's the question. I am looking for a set of demountable rims and wheels in 3.5 x 30. Does anyone know of any junkyard / parts supplier / individual who may have these for sale (and who is generally along that route)? I would prefer a personal visit as condition is hard to determine from pictures.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Bud,
If you get near Iola, KS stop in at Model T Haven.
Also, Dave Huson in Loveland, Colorado.
Keep your eyes out for an old trailer sitting in a field.
Bud;
I'm in Olive Branch, MS, right next door to Memphis. I have two sets of wheels and demountable rims, but I think they're for the later cars. I need only one set to complete the speedster.
Even if these are not right for you, and you plan on crossing Old Man River here, come on by for a visit.
My work number is 662-890-9095; cell is 901-496-8795. Other than a brief trip to Knoxville next week, I'm here.

Yes, definitely check with Mark at MTH. If you enter Iola KS in Google maps that will show you where he is. Even if he doesn't have exactly what you want, the place is worth a visit to see the acres of T stuff. I'm a couple of counties southwest of there. I doubt that any of the stuff in my pile is what you want, but you're welcome to drop in for a guided tour of my junk collection.
Guys
Thanks for your suggestions! Model T Haven and Dave Huson's are already on my list.
Bill & Dave, I'd love to stop by and say hello, wheels or not!
Bud, when you get to Chattanooga, you can take US64 or US 72west to Memphis and you will be on well maintained 4-lane highways. When you get to Selmer, you can turn north, by-passing Memphis and tun northwest toward St Louis on 4-lane. Tennessee has good roads. If you do come through Selmer, TN give me a shout, I am in the phone book. We are about 15 minutes from the Shiloh National Battlefield and I would be happy to give you a ride over in a T. Have a safe trip. Ken Swan, Selmer, TN
