Since I had my engine out I decided to give it a new colour. It's a Tremclad high gloss grey. I think it looks not bad. I'm sure I'll get stoned for not painting it black, but I wanted to spice up the engine compartment a bit.

I painted my 1925 motor "Gray Motor Holden" back in 1983. I prefer the non black. Our 1911 is green. Looks more interesting in my opinion. It is a darn site easier to keep clean too.

In real life, it is about half way between your picture and the one I posted. It definitely is on the bluer side of gray (if that makes sense) :-)

no, that is a good colour. I've seen old sidecar bikes that colour, and love it.
