Went to the car show today at the county fair. Didn't win in my class, but did take home "Oldest Vehicle" trophy. It's big and heavy.

Congrats William, I always loved Monmouth County, I used to live in Red Bank. I guess the thought is that the older the car the heavier the trophy should be. :-)

It basically drizzled. But they decided to do the trophies early, and later the sun came out. There were probably 100 cars there. I got there at 7:30 AM and was the first car on site. Second car was a Thunderbird. They really didn't start showing up until sometime between 8:30 and 9.

I don't know who won in my class, but I asked the person reading the list, and when they showed my name not winning anything, I got ready to follow a fellow Crank-Yanker to his house, then I heard my name called for oldest.

William, what was your class? Ive found most of our local shows in south jersey dont really have a class for stock antique vehicles. The last several shows i attended it was either "stock pre 1988" or just any "stock" vehicle, however if you had a hotrod or muscle car or corvette they had dozens of classes broken up by year. Funny thing is its the cars like ours that get all the attention from spectators.
Went to a cruise night a few weeks back and the best of show winner was a 2010 camaro with neon lights. Lol

Congrats on the trophy

My car at a show next to an '88 ferrari.... We were in the same class

As long as the spectators like the Ts, it is worth taking them.
Congratulations!

I once won second place at our local 4th of July parade a few years ago with the TT. It was the year after the one on my profile page. I was the only one in my class! Dave
