I do not know why, but vendors do not carry 1912 touring leaf spring clamps. We talked about this before. 'You' told me I had to make one or look around.

Can I buy any year clamp and cut it down, drill a hole and fabricate a 1912 size? In other words, are they all the same with; just different lengths?

Thank you in advance. Bob

There's a pretty good picture of the 1909-1917 clips on Page 37 of the first Rodda book. I'd just get a bit of 3/4" x 1/8" flat stock and make some.

You failed to mention whether they are front or rear. The early fronts are quite a bit shorter than the later ones, and it seems to me I have cut later ones down, and redrilled the holes, but I don't really remember.

Don't all of the '12s have the rolled edge spring leaf for the "upside down" clamp's bolt to pass through?

R.V.

That is right, the early spring leafs had the rolled edge, and the clamp is under the spring stack.
