1919-1922 touring, isn't it?

Why do people butcher their trees like that?

Might be 1919, but certainly isn't a 22, the top cradles sit too far back for a 22.

They look like they're on their way to the kind of fun they won't tell their folks about.

Steve out here, we have these big leaf maple trees that can grow to over 4 stories tall. A lot of folks keep them cut way back because the sheer volume of leaves that fall off them each year is overwhelming.

I believe it is 1921 - 1922 assuming parts have not been swapped around [i.e. you can place a 1921-25 rear seat tub on a 1915-1920 body -- it funcitions but the beading etc. does not line up very well. The photo has the top rest coming out the side of the rear quarter panel as shown below:

Rrather than like the earlier cars that had it coming down from the top of the rear seat.

Ref: http://www.mtfca.com/encyclo/1921.htm
MAJOR MODEL YEAR FEATURES:A new body for the tourings had been announced in June 1920. Similar to the earlier style, the rear section was now three pieces (instead of five), with no vertical seam on the rear side quarter panel. Seats were lower and had higher backs. The older style body continued for a time before the new one became standard, perhaps into 1921. (Some sources even say late 1921.) The runabout continued in the earlier style until late 1922 (1923 cars).
Top iron supports now come through the side panels instead of being the “L” shaped brackets used previously.
The Runabout continued in the previous style.

The 1923 model year introduced the one man top and the slanted windshield on the same basic low cowl body. Ref: http://www.mtfca.com/encyclo/1923.htm MAJOR MODEL YEAR FEATURES:The “1923” touring car style was introduced in September 1922, with a one-man top and sloping windshield, but otherwise the body was the same as the 1922.

Respectfully submitted,

Hap l9l5 cut off
