Ok not so far off topic. Can anyone tell me the bolt circle of the 6 bolt pattern and the 5 bolt pattern of the Model T wood and wire wheel. Thanks, Scott
Wire wheels are 5 on 5 and I believe the wood wheel is 6 on 5, I've drilled wood wheel drums before and one hole of the wood wheel will line up perfectly center of the wire wheel pattern so the circle must be the same diameter.
Jeff, Thats the info I was looking for. Thanks, Scott
So does that mean that the wire wheel hubs will accept modern ford car rims? I think that the cars are 5 on 5 and the trucks are 5 on 5.5 Thanks, Scott
Robert,
Model A wheels are the same as the more modern pattern. T's are not. I don't remember the measurements.
gm fullsize cars and 1/2 ton trucks use a 5on5 pattern same as t wire hubs model a wheels are 5on51/2 same as 1/2 ton ford trucks
Kevin, I though Ford modern cars are 5 0n 5 and gm is 4.75 on 5. Thanks for all the help everyone has given, Scott
Full-size GM cars from 71-76 and 91-96 were 5 on 5". 77-90 full size GM cars were 4-3/4" for sedans, and 5" for wagons and police cars. Half ton 2WD GM trucks from '72-98 were 5 on 5" also... prior to 72 and after 98 are 6-bolt.
