I had my T out for a ride this week and the amp meter is sum times steady at about 5 amps but the next time I look it's going crazy back and forth from discharge to full charge and the next time it is at 20 amps steady full charge. any help would be great thanks Ross from Canada

Sounds like you may need a new cutout. Do you have the old type or the new type from Funprojects?

Loose connections, dirty commutator, sticking brushes. Take a look and see what you find.

Ross:

If you have a bad cutout, don't delay the fix since a complete generator burn out can happen if the cutout fails to connect the generator to the battery when the engine is running. It is a well known problem and happens a lot with the original mechanical type cutouts.
