The town where I live, Bartow, Florida, is a Main street type town resembling Andy Griffith's Mayberry.
Today I took the '26 coupe out for a drive through the quiet, shaded, tree lined neighborhoods of Bartow and the weather was perfect. I decided to drive down through town and as I turned onto Main Street, I noticed a lot of activity ahead on both sides of the street and that I was driving right into it. Turns out today was the monthly antiques and crafts sidewalk sale and as I drove through, I felt like a one man, one car parade as everyone pointed, waved, laughed, yelled and took pictures and videos, as I smiled and waved back and sounded the ah-oo-gah horn. All those people made my day and I think I made theirs too. I was going to turn around and drive back, but figured it is best to leave them wanting more . Jim Patrick
Nothing but a model T could have had the same result. Great Jim, I love when that kind of thing happens.
Great, Jim! This fits to a T:
Wherever I drive is a parade;
Wherever I park is a car show.
More smiles per mile.
Jim, during our summer parade in town this year, we again made the eyes like you have in the picture for our T. But this year, we added a large tower speaker on the running board and played Life is a Highway from Cars and the kids went even more nuts than last year. Problem now is we have to try to top it and I have run out of ideas.
Great Doug. I don't think you need to top yourself. The T is enough. Love the eyes. I've been thinking about making some of those eyes. What are yours made of? How do you secure it to the windshield? Inside or out? Do you have any trouble seeing with them installed? You need to put an open smiling mouth on the radiator apron. Kids will notice the eyes and love them, but will wonder where his mouth is. Kids notice everything and consider things important that we don't give a second thought to... Beautiful T . Jim Patrick
I find when I take my 1927 Roadster out and park it at the store, when I come out there are usually several people around it, looking into to it. I love to answer their questions. The Model T attracts attention like crazy.

Hey Doug :
Where did you purchase the "CARS" eye banner ?
Any sign company should be able to duplicate it (one here in Abilene did for my 22 coupe), and it just clings to the inside of the windshield when put in place.
Yesterday I held a garage sale (trying to get rid of that darn mini-storeage stuff). I used the bed of the TT as a display table. I didn't sell everything darn it, but folks sure wanted to talk about the truck.
