My 41 Olds went for it first drive yesterday sence 1971. The speedometer is off about 8mph. It a set 15in wheels on it right now but I wonder if maybe its might sposed to 16? If so where might I find a set?

Will I woul be more inclined to suspect your speedometer. It could need servicing. Forty years is a long time to sit

Most had the 16 inch wheels.
My 47 Pontaic which is a similar car,is supposed to have 16s on it but only 1 or 2 of the 5 are still useable. And I have not found the first loose wheel in the wild for it.
So it has some 15's I got lucky and found so it is on rolling stock.
I would look at lubeing the speedometer cable purty soon.as it is probably dry.

If you have old style bias ply tires of the proper width, 15" could have the same or even larger diameter than 16" tires. If the sidewall is 100% of the width, 7.00-15 tires would have 15+7+7=29" diameter. 6.50-16 would be the same or 16+6.5+6.5=29"
