We took off a pair of hasslers today. There is probably a right way to install or remove them, but what we did was to remove the bolts which bolt them to the spring and then put a jack under so that the bracket would move farther up the spring away from the backing plate. Finally put a pry bar under it and SPRONG!!! The spring flew across the garage. We were not in line with the spring, so no one got hurt. Anyway we got them off, but there might have been a safer way to do it.

You should go out and buy a lottery ticket,with your luck. That is why they make all-thread,to aid in compressing those springs so you won't get hurt.
