There is a new locomotive running on the Greenfield Village Railroad. Detroit & Lima Northern No. 7, Henry Ford's personal locomotive, has been refurbished and is now running. Take a ride when you come to the Old Car Festival in September.

There is a great book titled " When I Ran the Railroads" authored by Scott D Trostel , that gives you an excellent account of Henry Ford's ownership of the DT&I Railroad. In this book you will find a section where it describes how Ford upgraded the rolling stock and locomotives. Henry had a process of nickel plating of components on the locomobiles. That clearly shows on this beautiful piece of machinery at Greenfield Village.

Here is a video of the Baldwin running. Taken by where the car games are held.
