Hello all, today I received a new set of one-man roadster top bows for my 1923 touring/pickup conversion. I did a mockup fit today, it looks like they fit pretty well, see pics. One thing I noticed is that the front bow irons want to pop out of their slots in the middle bow when the top is in the up position (I temporarily stabilized them with tie-wraps), will this tendency go away once I install the top fabric kit?top1top2top3

They are held in place with cotter pins.

There are no cotter pins used on that set of bows. If you get the top material installed correctly, they will work properly.

Thanks Jack. Didn't know. Sorry

I tied some bale string from the front bow to the back bow to hold the front bow in the slot before the straps were installed.

Once the bow straps and then fabric are installed, they will stay in. That is till the top is folded down, then the front bow is taken out of the slot and placed in the holes below.

Jim

Thanks all for the replys, that's what I suspected. Now that I know the bows fit, I'll take them back off the car and start working on them to get them ready for the Classtique top kit when it arrives.
