The other day I came across this Schrader Tire Pressure gauge. It looks like one end will pop out when pressure is applied, although I can not get it to work. I am a little suspect of the valve end, looks like it may be intended for a different tire end? It is round but has two square ears, as if this gauge would be pushed on, then twisted onto the tire stem. It has Pat. dates of 1909 and 1916, so it should be new enough for normal tire stem valves. Does anyone know anything about this?
Thanks
Mike
Howdy Mike. I believe the square ears is a screw driver slot for assembling and disassembling the unit.
Here's a link to a previous thread I posted under Accessory Of The Day a while back.

Thanks, must have missed your post.

My 1923 touring/pickup came with one of those in its tool box, yes, the center does pop out when you check the tire pressure, it goes up to 120 psi. Mine also came in a small leather case with a flap closed by a snap, see pics.
