Can anyone tell me what make and year this car is please.
Looks like a Lozier. Others will know.

That car is Genevieve from the film Genevieve.
It's a Darracq (supposedly 1904).

That picture would have been taken at Gilltraps Museum in Queensland Australia in the 1950-60's
George Gilltrap a new Zealander moved to Australia and opened a museum of old cars on our tourist Gold Coast. He was smart enough to realise he needed a good attraction and purchased Genevieve which he used for demonstrations and as you can see, you could get your photo taken in her.
Its only last month I read an article in one of our magazines about its history. After the film the owner tried to sell her for 450 British pounds to the producers of the Film. They declined.
He sent the car to NZ George Gilltrap bought it. It was sold from the Gilltrap estate for 285.302 Pounds. After an extensive restoration it was sent back to Britian when the then owner died in a Helicopter crash. The article finishes up stating the Darracq is worth 30,000 pounds in todays money.
It has 1960s Queensland registration.

Thank you very much for that information. One of the boys in the pic asked me about it. It was a memory from his childhood.
Thanks
Mark
Here's a clip from the 1953 movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wgiv_I2TkNc
I can imagine it gave quite a boost to the antique car hobby back then
Last I checked, Lozier is still in business. Their biggest seller today is modular stamped steel shelving for retail stores.
