We see many children on tour and we are lucky enough to be able to take our grandson along with us. He has been on two tours and many daily drives. You can see the excitement in his eyes when he knows he will be riding in the T. His favorite expression of the week, was "T's everywhere" as he raises his arm.
If anyone has the opportunity to take a child with you on tour, do so. We don't know who has more fun the child or the adults.

Just before we left.

I had to chase down a rattle and adjust the bands. The boy had to be right there handing me the tools he thought I would need (tool box now needs major reorganization).

The boy picks up a friend.

Rough day, his shirt was new that morning.

For all of us who are Grand Dads, these are best pictures I've seen in long time. Dan - you will always treasure these time and these pictures.
Sincerely for another Grand Dad.

You have it right Dan. Grand kids make it all the more fun. We took ours to Yellowstone and on a VMCCA tour this Summer. A great experience.

Probably not strictly legal I let my younger grandson drive the 1914 Touring at a closed circuit event.

Look at that smile, worth all the effort....

Dan, every day I see people put their children's lives in danger. I see babies on 4 wheelers or snowmobiles, on the laps of their parents while operating lawn mowers, or riding between them and the tanks on their motorcycles while they ride up and down the roads and trails around here. And the list could go on but that's not my purpose. My purpose is to thank you for showing a picture of your grandchild sitting in a child's car seat while riding in your T. You sir are a fantastic grandparent.

Our Grandson, Carter, has adopted the Model T as his and even has a pedal car version that he is outgrowing but loves to drive.

He helped with the Chicago Auto Show event two years ago.

Model T's are great for putting rambunctious toddlers to sleep. :-)

When my sons were very young, the T would put them to sleep in less than a mile.

Dan, I agree, we took our grand-daughter to Kanab with us this year, we had a great time and I'm sure she will never forget the time she spent with her grandparents in the Model T visiting such places as the Grand Canyon.

All 3 of us posing with the car at the Grand Canyon.

With Grandma at the ledge of the Grand Canyon.

It is great to see that we have many young ones growing up around T's. Hopefully they will develop a lasting interest in Model T's, and at some point become the owner of one.

Thanks for all the feedback and pictures. Seeing children around Model T's, I'm sure, brings a smile to everyone.

Don't miss out by thinking they are to young to bring. We brought our grandson to the 2012 MTFCI in Vermont, he was a year old, he slept through most of it. He just turned two before the 2013 Regional Tour, he was so excited he never slept, even on the trip there and back (3 1/2 hours each way). The difference in one year is amazing. He can't enough of tools and you can't fool him with play tools. He wants the real thing. Anything that moves that's mechanical, he's right there. Looks like and hopefully he will be mechanical minded.

Safety is a big issue. Out on the road in the T, he is in a car seat, and grandma rides in the back with him at all times.

As I said Dan, your idea of keeping him in a car seat is very refreshing. I hope the rest of the T owners who take their grandkids out are as wise. I nominate Dan Killecut as Grandfather of the year. :-)
