are you guys getting these annoying pop up ads on your computer while browsing the forum? I just started getting these today. Crap, can't we EVER avoid all this advertising? They show up right on any given thread, in the lower right hand corner.

You got something hooked to your browser. There are no pop up ads here.

Tim,

You have a virus. Go to http://www.malwarebytes.com and download the free scrubber program.

Not me. I use IE. Wouldn't surprise me if Chrome did it though. Google would sell their sister to a whorehouse if they thought they could make a buck.

I believe you can also turn off and/or delete the adware plugins that are causing the pop-ups.

You should have a button in your tools to keep popups out. Here is something my IT guy at work told me and it works. NEVER click on a popup anywhere on it to get rid of it, especially if the popup is telling you have a virus and you need a cleanup. If you do, you'll almost certainly be inviting a virus in. If you do get a popup, or an unwanted window for a porn site appears behind the window you are working in, get rid of it by pressing "Alt" and while holding the "Alt" key down, press "F4" simultaneously. The popup, or unwanted window should disappear. If it does not disappear from your screen, restart your computer, but DO NOT click on the popup to get rid of it. Jim Patrick
